Located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the Mid Cape Tourism Region. Founded by Thomas Prence and other settlers from Plymouth who made their living from the in shore fishery, hunting and gathering and farming. With the arrival of the railroad in 1870, the community began shipping cranberries, asparagus, cod, oysters and mackerel to Boston, Providence and Fall FRiver.
Our beaches are rated as Number 18 among Best Beaches 2000, by Stephen Leatherman ("Dr. Beach"), director of the U Maryland's Laboratory for Coastal Research.
