We would like to introduce you to the Outermost Inn of Martha's Vineyard. Located high on the prominent Gay Head Cliffs, we offer rooms with excellent water views from large picture windows that look over Vineyard Sound to Nantucket Sound in the east, and Block Island Sound in the west. All of the Elizabeth Islands and the mainland beyond are visible to the north, and to our south across the headland we see Noman's Land Island and the Atlantic. Needless to say, we have some pretty spectacular sunsets. In addition to the great water views, we are surrounded by twenty-some acres of open land that sustain an abundance of wildlife.

We built the original house in 1971 and have lived here, year 'round, ever since. Recently we fully renovated the house, making it a bright, clean seven-room inn. The building has always had an a enormous wrap-around covered porch on the east and north side that, along with the other common areas and lawns, gives proper space for us and our guests to enjoy a leisurely atmosphere for a relaxed breakfast, an afternoon drink, or a snooze in the hammocks. Our name speaks to our location at the western tip of the Island, a quiet, private place, considered to be the best the Vineyard can offer.
